Programme for Sunday 13th April 2008

0800 hrs

All cyclists and support team to meet at Bathroom Design Roundabout, Birkirkara where a briefing will be given as to the days events.

0830 hrs

Cyclists will move off together and proceed to the ferries, Sliema.

0900 hrs

Liase with Malta Cycling Association and their cycling participants, before joining them for a ride on route to Valletta and back in order to promote cycling on the island.
Life Cyclists will however leave main group and proceed through Hamrun on towards Ta Qali.

0945 hrs

Cyclists will rendezvous outside the back entrance of the exhibition tent, Ta Qali at the back entrance where they will be briefed as to the second stage of the days events.
At this location a “Family Day” organised by the HSBC Life staff will have been set up.Health Awareness, BMX demo and food/drinks stalls will be in support.

1030 hrs

Cyclists will be escorted around a 6km course for 1 lap so they are aware of route and then will complete another 8-9 laps.

1330 hrs

Amateur cyclists, family and friends will join the riders for the last lap to round off the day.
