Lifecyclist dies in Traffic Accident
30 Jul 2009, 08:00 It is with deep sadness and a huge sense of loss that we must announce the sudden death of Cliff Micallef, one of our top cyclists.
News has reached us that during a practice ride early this morning (Thursday 30 July 2009), he was hit by a commercial vehicle on the coast road, and died at approximately 5.30am.
The entire LifeCycle team are in total shock over this loss and would like to offer their condolences to his family.
Update
It appears that the vehicle was a private car. A man was later apprehended and is helping police with their inquiries.

Cliff’s funeral is to be held on this Saturday, 1st August. Anyone who knew Cliff and would like further details should contact the Lifecycle Committee.
