Since we started in 1999, we have been able to donate a significant number of items to assist renal patients in Malta:

1999/2000

  • 4 Kidney machines (valued at Lm10,000 each)
  • 3 Automated Peritoneal Dialysis (APD) Machines (valued at Lm5,000 each)

2000/2001

  • Air conditioning system for Renal Unit (Lm8,000)
  • Money donation towards procurement of a Haemodialysis Reverse Osmosis Plant

  • 3 APD Machines (Lm5,000 each)

2003/2004

  • 1 Kidney Machine (Lm10,000)
  • 1 Dialysis Couch

2009/2010

2010/2011

  • Lourdes pilgrimage for renal patients
  • Indoor cycling bikes for LifeCycle club
  • Appointment of dietician consultant to renal patients

  • Setting up of a research fund
  • 24-hour dialysis machine for renal patients

2011/2012

  • Aiding the appointment of a dietician consultant at Mater Dei Hospital for renal patients.
  • Sponsoring renal nurses to train abroad in transplant co-ordination.
  • Assisting renal patients with individual requirements

2012/2013

  • Continuation of services of the dietician consultant for renal patients
  • Rental of passenger van for use by patients on late evening dialysis treatment
  • Donated €70,000 for research to the Research, Innovation and Development Trust within the University of Malta.

2013/2014

  • Continuation of Services of dietician consultant for renal patients
  • Rental of passenger van for use by patients on late evening dialysis treatment
  • Purchase of 2 computers for Mater Dei Hospital Renal Unit
  • Purchase of CCRT machine for Mater Dei ITU, for use on renal patients
  • Gozo outing for renal patients
  • Visit to Lourdes, France for renal patients and medical staff

2014/2015

  • Rental of passenger van for use by patients on twilight shift dialysis treatment
  • Purchase of 2 SMASH Advanced Patient Training Arms
  • Purchase of 2 Haemodialysis Machines
  • Lourdes pilgrimage for renal patients and medical staff
  • Christmas Party for Renal Patients 25% of the year balance donated to Research

2015/2016

  • Donation towards the HLA/AXM Project for all recipients on the kidney transplant
  • Donation towards Research in Genetics and Pathophysiology of Rare Kidney Diseases in Children Rental of passenger van for use by patients on twilight shift(late evening) dialysis treatment Christmas Party for Renal Patients
