LifeCycle chairman Alan Curry gave a presentation about the history and goals of LifeCycle, and this was followed by a short briefing by each committee member and by Andy Botha, Betfair’s International Chief Financial Officer, who will himself be cycling in the challenge.
After the briefings, many questions were asked and answered, and the LifeCycle committee were greatly encouraged by the level of interest and enthusiasm shown by participants.
This coming Sunday morning (18th April), the first team ride will take place, so if you are out driving and see a group of cyclists wearing yellow tops, please overtake with care.

The Adventure Starts Now
Yesterday (Sunday 11th April) around 50 people came to the offices of Betfair Malta for two hours, many on their bikes. The reason? The first team meeting of the 2010 Betfair LifeCycle Challenge, and the first opportunity for the entire team to meet in one place.
Old friends were reunited, and newcomers found many other like-minded people who they will be getting to know very well in the coming weeks, as the training programme progresses.
However, the main purpose of the meeting was to give all participants (cyclists and backup team members) a thorough briefing on what the LifeCycle Challenge is about, and provide them with various resources to assist in their fundraising efforts.
