A warm welcome home

A spontaneous burst of applause greeted the cyclists and backup team as they emerged into the arrivals hall at Malta International Airport, late Friday evening. Almost every team member was met by family or friends, and it was clear from the smiles, laughter and embraces that the team was pleased to be home after such a strenuous two weeks. Though the cyclists and backup team can now relax, the work of the LifeCycle Foundation administrative team continues. The fundraising totals need to be calculated, so that the administrators can liaise with the Renal Unit at Mater Dei Hospital and decide how the money will be spent. This website must be updated to reflect the fact that this year’s challenge is now complete. And, of course, a location must be chosen for next year’s challenge – in fact a few ideas are already being discussed…
